Journal.Not just a journal (don't you ever call it a blog!), this is the largest archive I have of my life. It is one technique that I have devised to save my life. And thus far, it has worked. Kept within these pages, amongst all the HTML, is my life's story. Repression was both a great theme and a burden in her life. Her madness was a ruthless censor; it was not content only to ruin the quality of her daily life in New York, but it also effaced the past and replaced it with the white baffled noise of forgetfulness. Her journals preserved the particulars of her life. She filled them with hard facts and nothing else. They were her rose windows into the past. Writing in her journals was but one other technique Savannah has devised to save her own life.

Life's To Do List
Walk on hot coals. Own a red, 1964 Mustang convertible. Live in Europe for [at least] one year. Graduate from college. Weigh between 130-170 pounds. See a polar bear. See a Shakespearian play (Twelfth Night, October 2004). See a Broadway show (The Goodbye Girl, January 2008). Learn another language fluently. See all fifty states, and invest in a shot glass from each. Attend a poetry reading. Accrue savings. Buy a house. Get married. Publish a book. Read 100 pieces of classic literature. Visit Studio 6A (Late Night with Conan O'Brien). View a Vincent van Gogh painting (The Poet's Garden, Art Institute of Chicago, June 2008). Drink wine in Italy. Weigh 150 pounds. Memorize as much poetry as possible.
